Kitchen Knock Shipping Policy
Delivery Terms and Customer Responsibilities
Kitchen Knock provides delivery services for all orders across Australia through our network of approved carriers. By placing an order, customers acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding delivery and acceptance of goods:
All products remain the sole property of Kitchen Knock until full payment has been received and cleared. Customers are solely responsible for verifying that ordered items will fit through all relevant doorways, elevators, or other access points at the delivery location prior to placing an order. Kitchen Knock cannot accept responsibility for aborted deliveries due to insufficient access, and any resulting transportation charges will be borne by the customer.
For all deliveries, including warehouse pickups, customers must ensure they have appropriate labor, equipment (such as forklifts or pallet jacks), and adequate vehicle capacity to safely receive and transport goods. Our warehouse staff reserve the right to refuse loading if the provided vehicle is deemed unsuitable for safe transportation.
Delivery Process and Time Frames
Orders are typically dispatched within two (2) business days from our warehouse (Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Standard delivery timelines are as follows:
- Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane Urban Areas: 1-2 business days
- Other Areas: Delivery times may vary depending on location
All delivery time frames provided are estimates only. Kitchen Knock shall not be held liable for delays caused by factors beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to carrier delays, weather events, or logistical disruptions. In the event of significant delays, we will work proactively with customers to identify suitable solutions.
For orders containing out-of-stock items, we recommend waiting for all products to be available before dispatch to minimize shipping costs. However, customers may request split shipments by coordinating with our customer service team, with any additional transportation fees to be confirmed and approved prior to processing.
Delivery Completion and Acceptance
All deliveries will be made curbside or at the nearest accessible dock at the specified delivery address. Kitchen Knock's delivery service does not include:
- Unpacking of goods
- Movement of items within the premises
- Removal of packaging materials
- Installation of equipment
A signature from an authorized recipient is required at the time of delivery as proof of acceptance. Drivers are not permitted to leave items unattended unless explicit "Authority to Leave" instructions have been provided in writing prior to dispatch.
Customers must inspect all goods upon delivery and report any visible damage or discrepancies to Kitchen Knock within 24 hours of receipt. Failure to report issues within this time frame may affect warranty claims or return eligibility.
Insurance and Risk Transfer
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the purchase price does not include insurance coverage for goods during transit. Customers who require insurance protection must either:
1. Arrange coverage directly with their preferred carrier, or
2. Request an insurance quotation from Kitchen Knock prior to order confirmation
Title to and risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery at the specified address. Kitchen Knock shall not be liable for any loss or damage occurring after this transfer of risk.
Returns and Restocking
A 20% restocking fee will apply to all returns of unwanted or incorrectly ordered products, except in cases where the return is due to Kitchen Knock's error. Customers must contact our customer service team to initiate any return process and receive authorization prior to shipping items back to our warehouse.
Special Considerations
Residential Deliveries: Additional delivery surcharges may apply for shipments to private residential addresses.
Remote Areas: Customers in remote locations should contact us for delivery options and potential surcharges.
Oversized Items: Special handling requirements may apply for large equipment; our team will advise during order processing.
